Classic Chicken Noodle

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbp butter

  • 1 cup diced onion

  • 1 cup diced celery

  • 1 cup diced carrots

  • 3 cloves minced garlic

  • 1 Tbsp flour

  • 6 cups chicken broth

  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary

  • 1/2 tsp. thyme

  • 1 chopped rotisserie chicken

  • 8 0z. (1/2 bag) wide egg noodles

Preparation

  1. Melt butter in large stock pot on medium heat

  2. Add onions, celery, & carrots, stir & sautee for 5 minutes

  3. Add garlic, cook 2 minutes

  4. Add flour & stir to coat veggies, cook another minute

  5. Add chicken broth, 1 cup at a time, stirring continuously

  6. Add black pepper, rosemary, & thyme

  7. Add rotisserie chicken

  8. Add egg noodles

  9. Simmer until noodles are cooked, stirring occassionally
