I am a Southern gal, through and through, born and raised in East Tennessee. I am a wife and mother of two littles, a life long equestrian, a published author, and have a major passion for cooking.
At the age of 2, our daughter, Riley-Addison, wanted to peel potatoes with me. Not long after, I started calling her "my little Sous Chef." Since then, her interest in cooking has grown exponentially. She is now nearly 6, and we spend countless hours in the kitchen together. Our recipes are insanely popular among family and friends, so we decided to start sharing them with the world!
Now known as The Half Pint Sous, nothing pleases her more than to make delicious food for those that we love. We hope that you and your family will enjoy our recipes as much as we do! I am a writer, published author, and a foodie, but I'm not a blogger. No offense to my witty and entertaining blogging friends, because I get you. I could write and talk about food all day long. But with a 5 year old, and an ornery 3 year old, most of the time when I'm looking for recipe inspiration, I just don't have a moment for story time amidst my chaos.
So The Half Pint Sous will just feature recipes, that you can go straight to without the scrolling, and we have a separate blog tab (for future use!) to include stories and articles if that's your thing. We also have a contact box for comments and questions on our recipe pages because we would love to hear from you!

Bloopers!
W.C. Fields was quoted as saying, "never work with children or animals." In context he meant child or animal actors on a movie set because inevitably they would end up stealing the scene.
Obviously it's a different context for me, but oh, do I feel him. Trying to cook with a 5 year old, film it, and chase down a 3 year old at the same time, by yourself, definitely has its challenges.
Our Blooper Reels are comprised of the outtakes of shenanigans that go on while trying to film our instructional videos.
